Day 147 ~Media Day Luncheon on the Lake

One of the three houseboats we were on.

Special show just for all of us!

These guys were awesome! My back was killing me just watching them do all their tricks.

I have a lot more photos of him and I will be sharing them in the next couple days. This thing was crazy!

The weather wasn't the best but I'm so glad we decided to go!! I shot most of the day on the sports setting because I just couldn't figure out the correct settings! I've been up more the last couple days. Still in pain but I just can't handle sitting/laying on my ass any longer!

Of course today's weather is a lot nicer...figures! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Day 146 ~Blackberries

The blackberries are just starting to form. This is the first time I've been able to capture their blossoms. I love the two little ants and little bug on the side!

There are only a few that have started forming into blackberries, or 'greenberries'...lol.

Their torns are killers! If you've ever had to chase dogs through these you understand their pain. The torns will eat you alive!

Day 145 ~ Hydrangea

The hydrangea's are blooming! I have to enjoy them now because once it gets into the triple digits they will die. I don't know why the old owners planted them there, in direct sunlight almost all day. I do believe there might have been a covering over the patio long ago, that would have protected them from the hottest part of the day. I love how they change colors. These usually start out pink then turn a blueish color.

Jaylene's last day of school!!! Wooohooo! She has awards assembly at 9am, Madysen has her pre-school graduation at 10am and our friends son's have their 8th grade graduation at 7pm. I don't know if I will be making it through the day!! When did they start having 'graduation' for every grade? I thought only high school and college do graduation?

Day 144 ~ Hollyhocks

I planted this hollyhock two years ago, from seeds I collected from the hollyhocks in the backyard. It's crazy that it finally came up this year! I'd say this is about 9 feet high and the flowers are just starting to bloom.

My back is doing okay. I'm sore. Tired of complaining about it as I'm sure most of you are tired of hearing about it..lol! My first procedure is scheduled on June 15th at 8:45am. I'm getting a little nervous but excited to see if it relieves the pain.

Jaylene's last day of school is tomorrow!! I can't believe we will soon have a 5th grader!!! WOW how time flies! We are really proud of her!!

The rain is coming today..yuck! Last week I was invited to a media luncheon on the lake! That is scheduled for tomorrow. With the rain and lightening storms expected I don't know if they will still be having it. It's an honor to have been invited! I'm hoping to get some great shots of the water skiers! Although I've yet to shoot in manual on action shots. Could be bad...lol. Hope everyone is enjoying the week!!!

Day 143 ~

Cheat day for yesterday. I forgot about Tuesday!! Oops! This is another HDR shot of the Sacramento River from the Sundial Bridge. I really would love to get Trey Ratcliff's new book. I get the general idea of HDR but I would really like to improve. I like HDR's that are more realistic looking.

Saturday, Sunday & Monday....

We had a great time in Reno this past weekend. My mom bought some new flowers so I took a few pictures of those and two of the kids. Logan was having "a not so great of a day" and Jaylene had a blast with making crowns and butterflies with pipe cleaners. Who knew those could bring so much fun!

My back is feeling okay. I might have done just a little too much this weekend but it was worth it! I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!
