Day 176 ~ Whiskeytown Lake Sunset
I have to say I'm impressed with myself. Is that bad to say? I shot all of these on full manual, that's probably why it took 116 shots to get 12 good ones! I have a few of a tree that I seem to have been obsessed with that I'll post tomorrow! The clouds were amazing even more so to the right than in the photo, there were just too many powerlines.
These are gorgeous - and you should be proud of them! It is NOT unusual at all to shoot 100 photos only to get a few you are happy with. My photography instructor told me one time that if you get one good shot out of hundreds, you are doing very good! Did you use a star filter on the sunset shot?
I am a mother and a gifted amateur photographer. I have a great passion for photography. I am hoping to improve by starting the 365 days of Photography. I plan to take a picture every day and posting it here.
When I'm not behind the camera I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends.
