Day 113 ~ Yesterday's Clouds

Yesterday's clouds were cool! I wish I would have went out on the river at sunset, it would have been beautiful. I saw a bald eagle flying over our backyard today, I ran inside to grab my camera and change my lens, I asked Chris & Jaylene to watch out for the eagle, and of course they didn't! I was sooo upset and disappointed! I wanted to cry! It had to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen flying! Tomorrow we are heading to Bailey's Cove on Shasta Lake for a hike and to have lunch at the lake, it should be a great day!

Day 112

Here is my black and white conversion I did yesterday. It's still not looking right! I'm not sure if I'll get out to take picture today. My allergies are killing me and I now have a cold! Blah! It might be a day to lay in bed and do nothing! Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Day 111 ~ Roses

Anyhow, I messed with some of the color & contrast on the first red rose. Just goofing off with the sliders.




I have no idea what I did to my camera but every picture I took had a "zero" on the exposure scale when I went to edit all my pictures. And the 20 something pictures I took on the monochrome setting didn't even load into Elements 7. WHY??
Tomorrow I will post the rose that I tried to convert to black & white in CS2. It still doesn't look right. I've looked into Lightroom and right now I just can't afford that. I'd rather have my two new lens, which will be a long while until that happens...unless I sell 10 more photos..lol. I'm hoping to save enough money to upgrade from CS2 to CS4 0r 5. Or if my Mom and Pops really love me maybe it can be an early early birthday present...hint hint MOM! :)

Day 110 ~ Black & White of Table Mountain

I've been trying to do more black and white conversions. I'm not sure if it's me or my screen but they just don't look right to me. This is the time when I miss film. Ever since I went to digital I don't do too many black and white photos.

Updated Website

I updated my website. I deleted over 600 photos and gained 4.73 GB on my hard drive! Crazy!

If you get a chance could you all help me out and let me know which photos on my website aren't my best and need to be deleted. It's crazy how I thought two years ago so many of them were "good". They are deleted now. :) I'm sure there are more. Any help I would really appreciate!

Day 110 ~ Although I have 132 post..lost on days

Bald Eagle ~ This is as close as I could get, part of the trial is closed due to the construction on the bridge. Someday I'll get a better picture! This is the second year they have had three babies! There is a cool website if you would like to watch them live. http://www.turtlebay.org/eaglecam

I went for a nice long walk on the river trail yesterday. I figured I'd better get out of the house before the next storm arrived. It's here! The wind and rain is crazy! Expecting over an inch of rain today. Tomorrow I will be adding a few more pictures of Table Mountain.

Day 109 ~ More wildflowers...

Dijea pointed out that these flowers are bluebonnets...they were everywhere!

Anyone wanna guess on the name of this wildflower?

I have many more photos that I will be posting over the next couple days. I would love to go back to Table Mountain next year but in March. More wildflowers and the waterfalls are winter falls.
